Connected Flow is developing an iPhone version of FlickrExport. This will be a new great application for those who use the FlickrExport plug-ins for Aperture and iPhoto, and who use an iPhone.

This upcoming app, from Connected Flow, gives iPhone users opportunity to take photos on their iPhone Camera and send them straight to their Flickr photostream. This program will undoubtedly be quite popular with iPhone users.

It will allow iPhone owners to both take photos with iPhone’s camera from within FlickrExport and instantly transfer them to Flickr, and also transfer any photos that are already in the library (although only one at a time). Users will also be able to apply titles, descriptions, tags, privacy settings, geographical information, and more, to their images - all from the iPhone.

With the Aperture and iPhoto versions, it is intended that people can use it to upload a large number of photos all at once. Conversely, with the iPhone version, only one picture can be uploaded at once.

Using WiFi, photos took about five seconds to upload, while EDGE took about 20 seconds for one shot. A price for the app has yet to be revealed.

The ifbyphone released new iPhone application that will enable users to send recorded messages without using calling minutes.

The ifbyphone telephone application platform, which will be available July 1, will deliver broadcasts either immediately or at a scheduled time set by the user. It will work with any iPhone running the v2 software. In addition, the Voice Broadcast feature will also work with the iPod touch.

Applications for Ifbyphone's Voice Broadcast technology include traveling managers who need to send a voice memo out to their staff while being away, or for parents who want to reach the entire family all at once.

Voice Broadcast will work by selecting a group of recipients from the iPhone’s Address Book, then entering the delivery date and time. The Voice Broadcast application lets you record a message, which is then sent at the appointed time. Because the message is being sent as data, it doesn’t impact the number of minutes you’ve selected in your calling plan.

The application will be free to download, though Ifbyphone requires an active subscription in order to use.

Ifbyphone is a hosted voice application and platform company with a simplified approach to the deployment of stand-alone and web-integrated voice services for small and medium sized businesses (SMB).

Ifbyphone makes it easier for customers to connect with you from online and off. All of Ifbyphone's applications are accessible via a click on a Web site, an inbound call to a toll free number, an outbound call or with the help of a programmable API.

We know that iPhone is a fascinating gadget with its innovative and various functions. But its new gardening opportunity is really amazing. Now people have a chance to use the iPhone to water their plants. As someone created a robotic system that when controlled by your iPhone’s Safari web browser waters your plants!

Sure you would be astonished, but here is how it works: It is possible by checking Mobile Safari Position. Whenever Mobile Safari changes position from horizontal to vertical, a web server notices the changes and via a JavaScript, and some electrical engineering, changes the position of the can and moves it up and down.

P.S Who knows what would be another surprise from iPhone?

Tall or small, thin or thick, blonde or brunette there is place for everyone on Dating DNA Web App for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch Internet devices. The most important is to be compatible with somebody. And how is that possible? Well, iPhone and iPod Touch users can immediately start browsing photos and compatibility scores with thousands of singles worldwide by visiting iPhone or Apple’s websites.

The charm of this service is that not being at your computer, you can browse photos of other compatible singles, delete, skip each match, or add them to the favorites section, called the "DNA Strand."

According to the PRWeb.com: "Not only is it our desire to allow everyone to use their Dating DNA Number all across the Internet's social graph, but we also want to make our services available on a wide array of Internet devices, such as the iPhone," said Kevin Carmony, CEO for Dating DNA. "Just like online dating is shifting away from traditional dating sites such as Match.com and eHarmony to social networks like Facebook and MySpace, so too are many people moving to their cell phones for interacting socially on the Internet."

Having a Dating DNA Number, users are able to use their iPhone or iPod Touch device to browse photos of users with whom their compatibility score matches that user's "Compatibility Threshold." In difference to other sites Dating DNA keeps all information and photos private, except to those who meet or exceed a "Compatibility Threshold”.

And all that is 100% free to use, utilizing Web 2.0 technology to create an integrated experience that is extremely easy, fun and enjoyable for the user.

Have you ever thought that if children in Cambodian village had connected laptops how their lives would be transformed?

Questions like this led to foundation of One Laptop per Child and the creation of XO laptop.
The mission of this project is to provide children’s self-expression and exploration. While children are by nature eager for knowledge, many countries haven’t enough resources to devote to education. By giving children their own connected XO laptop, we are giving them a window to the outside world, access to vast amounts of information, a way to connect with each other, and a springboard into their future.

Xo is designed by experts from academia and industry. It’s a product of the very best thinking about technology and learning. It was designed with the real world in mind. As a result, the XO laptop is extremely durable, brilliantly functional, energy-efficient, responsive, and fun.

With the XO laptop, children aren’t just learning about the world around them. Their learning becomes apart of journey. By discovering how to use their XO laptop in new ways and exploring new ideas, children are constantly engaged in a process of learning by doing.

One Laptop per Child’s mission is to provide laptops to as many children as possible in developing nations. In order to have a maximum impact it is essential that every child in a given community has their own laptop. One way to make this happen is to work with local governments and organizations who will distribute large numbers of laptops at a time.

There is a program Give One Get One, for every laptop you received, a laptop is sent to child in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Haiti, Mongolia or Rwanda.

So you can increase your child’s knowledge and help others to do it too.

HermitWorks Entertainment, founded by former BioWare game designers Cameron and Marcia Tofer, is working not only for Quack 3 for the iPhone and iPod touch ports, but on Space Trader

port for iPhone as well.

As widely reported this week, the port uses the built-in motion sensors to control action in the game, and offers the capability for two player play using WiFi.

HermitWorks hopes to release Space Trader in June for the iTunes Store for users to purchase and download but in order for that to happen they would need minimal support in Apple’s official SDK which was late in coming.

Space Trader is a FPS style game but the company is also working on a RPG game called Quest. They promise that it won’t be standard 2D RPG, but instead a full 3D game, with some NPC’s being real players.

HermitWorks Entertainment Corporation is an independent game company founded in 2004 by industry veterans Cameron and Marcia Tofer. HermitWorks is an innovative company interested in developing games that casual and hard core gamers can play together. Their first game title 'Space Trader' was realeased in the fall of 2007.

Since its founding in 1979, Nickelodeon has developed many good-for-you programs, aimed at spurring kids' education and development. SpongeBob is not one of those shows. But it's the most funny, surreal, inventive example of the explosion in creative kids' (and adult) entertainment that Nick, Cartoon Network and their ilk made possible.

SpongeBob SquarePants is an Emmy-nominated American animated television series and media franchise. It is one of Nickelodeon's Nicktoons and is currently the most watched show on Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is now broadcast across the world. It was created by artist, animator, and former marine biologist, Stephan Hillenburg, and is produced through his production company, United Plankton Pictures, Inc.

SpongeBob is one in a long line of cartoons that is designed to appeal to adults as well as children. This has a lot to do with the absurd way underwater life and situations are represented, and with the situations, references, and words used, which younger viewers might not understand.

The show is set deep in the Pacific Ocean in a city called Bikini Bottom. The inhabitants of the city include SpongeBob SquarePants, a square yellow sea sponge who lives in a pineapple; SpongeBob's pet snail, Gary, who happens to meow like a cat; Squidward Tentacles, a grumpy neighbor who lives in a Moai (an Easter Island head); SpongeBob's best friend Patrick, who lives under a rock; Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob's boss and owner of the Krusty Krab; Plankton, owner of the Krusty Krab's rival restaurant, the Chum Bucket; and Sandy Cheeks, a sea-dome-dwelling squirrel.

Jellyfish buzz and sting like bees, worms bark like dogs, scallops act like birds, and SpongeBob talks on a "shell phone" and eats "sea-nut butter." Under sea puns bubble up throughout the program, even as life underwater seems very familiar to life above.

SpongeBob gives us funny mood and many smiling faces. He may not has a spine, or much of a brain, but he's all heart.

If you are a fun of SpongeBob SquarePants you may also visit its fun club on http://spongebob.net/.

A former prisoner of the Pentridge Prison, Melbourne, Australia, decided to buy his own jail cell, where he had spent several years for fraud and robbery.

Mr. Alford is not going to live in the cell again. He needs it as a place to arrange a wine storage facility, after the commercial redevelopment of the prison.

Before it was closed, the Pentridge was the most notorious prison in the country, keeping the most dangerous criminals inside its walls.

Mr. Alford, an ex-barrister, went to jail after gambling and alcohol addiction made him plunge heavily into debts. As a result, he began stealing from trust funds. A bit later he failed in his attempt to rob a bank with the sawn-off shotgun.

Although having such past, Mr. Alford radically changed his life after leaving the prison. He gave up gambling and drinking, and became an author of a best-seller “Never Give UP” written about his past experiences.

According to Mr. Alford, purchasing his former cell a rare opportunity, as not many people in the world have ever owned their own cells. So as soon as he heard about the Pentridge being sold, Alford seized his chance to become one of the official owners.

The cell will be converted to hold rare wines cost about $46 million, however this doesn’t interest the owner any more: “the irony is that I don’t drink now… this is purely an investment”-Alford said.

Mr. Alford, who kept the secret of how much he paid for the cell, took the keys of his cell at an official ceremony last Wednesday.

Everything has its history. Everything comes from somewhere and goes to some direction. It is very simple, logical, and natural. Each event is specific in some way. Each day has its right to exist in history. But the most interesting is that only people can make each day extraordinary, give them specific meaning, status and understanding. Depending on origin, culture, traditions each nation differs from the other. That makes people travel, take photos, make albums. List them thousand times to look past life through. I can hardly imagine that there is a person who does not have the photos of Halloween in his/her album. Some write “Halloween” on the top of the photo to indicate what day it was taken, some do it on the back of it, some do none of them because photos say everything and sometimes even more than words can express. And still it is amazing how these photos appeared in our albums?

This holiday dates back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (sow-in). Celts inhabitants of Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France celebrated the new year on November 1. This day was associated with the end of summer and the beginning of winter, cold, dark, and in most cases identified with death. According to the beliefs Celts thought that the boundary between living and dead worlds were blurred this day. Presence of ghosts could help Druids, or Celtic priests predict the future. But the understanding of the holiday changed after Romans had conquered the large territory of Celts in A.D. 43. Romans ruled this territory for 400 years. During this period two Roman festivals were combined with Celtic. Festivals of Roman origin were Feralia and Pomona

Later in 800s after spreading Christianity among Celts, Pope Boniface IV declared 1 November All Saints’ Day. It is believed that designation of this day as All Saints’ Day served the purpose of changing the day of dead ghosts arrival day into saints’ day. The new celebration was called “All-Hallows”. As for the night before the celebration, it was called All-Hallows Eve, Halloween.

Halloween symbol is identified with the carved pumpkin with a lit candle inside. Story about Halloween is impossible to imagine without Jack-O'Lantern. The tradition of making jack o’lanterns counts centuries. It is originated from an Irish Myth about “Stingy Jack” who deceived the Devil. Invited him to have a drink but did not want to pay for it. Jack convinced him to turn into a coin. The Devil was deceived, Jack put the coin into his pocket next to a silver cross. The power of the cross prevented the Devil from turning into the original form. Jack made a kind of barter with the Devil and freed him for 1 year freedom. But that was not enough for Jack and the next time asked the Devil 10 years of life...

But Jack died soon. Why? As legend says God will not allow such man into the heaven too, neither the Devil opened the doors of hell, and since then he wanders with the burning coal trying to find the way.

Album waits for new photos, memories find their own places in our minds, Jack O’lantern still searches for the ways to release himself from uncertain freedom and masked faces are waiting for the 31 of October.

Every time I drink Coke I pose myself with this question. I like the liquid in the glass bottle the most. I find the Coke in a plastic bottle the least delicious, and the can version between those two.

Is there a scientific reason for this? Or maybe it's just an imagination?

Some people believe that Coca-Cola seems more refreshing out of glass, because hard, cold glass seems more refreshing than soft squishy plastic. This means that if the drink is equally cold in glass bottle, can and plastic bottle, the taste must be equal.

It is also possible that the various materials (glass, plastic and can in this case) provide different co-tastes. In other words, Coke goes in some sort of chemical reaction with the container.

In order to fully answer the question, first it must be determined if there really exists difference between tastes or not. After the answer is positive, it must be explained what gives different taste.

A simple experiment can show if the difference in taste is imaginary or real.

1. You buy a can, a plastic bottle and a glass bottle of Coke.
2. You ask someone else to pour each type into separate glasses preferably of the same type.
3. You taste and see if you can detect the glass/plastic/aluminium.

We do the experiment with different people and once we have the statistical data, start making conclusions.

To be continued...

Well at least since 1969, the $100 bill is the largest note in circulation. But what if you were a cashier and someone handed you a 1 million dollar bill? Well, almost like a real one and kindly asked you to give him a change. I'm not sure about your reaction, but the employee of the Giant Eagle supermarket in Pittsburgh refused to accept it. The manager went even further and confiscated the bogus bill. The man flew into a rage. According to police, the man slammed an electronic funds-transfer machine into the counter and reached for a scanner gun.

The 1 million dollar note owner was not carrying identification and has refused to give his name to authorities. Police arrested him, who is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

Police believe the 1 million dollar note seized at the supermarket may have originated at a Dallas-based ministry. Last year, the ministry distributed thousands of religious pamphlets with a picture of President Grover Cleveland on a $1 million bill.
