Gamers who play the new
Grand Theft Auto IV are able to buy downloads of the music they hear through Amazon.com.
It’s an interesting twist on music marketing
.
When playing Grand Theft Auto IV, players can listen to over 200 songs across 16 in-game radio stations. A new GTA IV feature called ZIT lets customers 'tag' the songs they like. When a player hears a song that interests them, they can dial ZIT-555-0100 on their in-game cell phone, and a text message appears on the phone with the song title and artist. The ZIT number is recorded on the phone for easy one-key lookups of future songs.
After playing, gamers can log on to the new online Rockstar Games Social Club community site at https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/, where they can see their stats from their game play and the full list of songs they've tagged. The site will offer a link to a customized playlist of these songs on Amazon MP3, where they can preview, purchase and download the songs as 256 kbps MP3 files.

iHome is set to launch the new iP99 iPhone-compatible dual alarm clock radio at Brookstone specialty retail stores on June 1. According to Brookstone, the iP99 iPhone clock radio can still receive calls while docked because engineers eliminated the shielding that normally interferes with cell signals. It also has a specialized adapter to accommodate for both the iPhone and all versions of the iPod, allowing it to dock, charge and play from every one of Apple’s audio players.
There are other clock radios on the market that will work with the iPod, but none of them today have allowed the iPhone to receive calls while playing music.
The iHome iP99 iPhone Clock Radio will go on sale on June 1 for $149.95. It features10-watt Reson8 speakers, an integrated AM/FM radio, an alarm buzzer and a remote control.
Customers can already start to order the iHome iP99 iPhone clock radio through 1 june and receive free shipping, by visiting any one of Brookstone’s 314 stores in the USA or at www.brookstone.com.

TeenBuzz, a website that offers ultrasonic high frequency ringtones has recently been reformatted to include added support for iPhone users. The ringtones are of a particularly high frequency, which helps younger generations avoid detection of mobile phone usage. While younger teenagers can hear the tones, adults will have a hard time in doing so as a result of naturally occurring hearing loss (a phenomenon known as presbycusis).
Those who want to use this ringtone first have to subscribe to a PodCast website. As soon as the download to the ultrasonic is finished ringtones will be given, and they will be automatically added to the ringtones directory. Note that they will be made available upon successful syncing of the iPhone.
Teen Buzz (also known as Mosquitotone or Zumbitone) is a popular ringtone that was hijacked from a technology that was originally used to repel loitering teenagers from shops in the United Kingdom. Inventor Howard Stapleton developed the "Mosquito device" for Compound Security Systems.
The Mosquito is a product made to drive away teenagers from no-loitering zones. Because the ability to hear high frequencies deteriorates with age (a phenomenon known as presbycusis), the Mosquito works by emitting high-frequency tones at approximately 17.4 kHz.
The Mosquito was originally tested at one location in Newport, South Wales, where it was successful in reducing the number of teenagers loitering near a grocery store. In spite of this, some adults and seniors were still able to hear the Mosquito. It has not been tested by hearing experts, however the tones are broadcast at 75 decibels, so they fall within the government's auditory-safety limits. The Mosquito was released into the mainstream market in 2006.
P.S. For more information visit the official website of TeenBuzz.

A revamped online file-sharing service that promised to offer unlimited, free music downloads from all the major record labels hit an apparent snag Sunday after one denied it had given the service permission. Qtrax touted in a press release Sunday morning that it was the first Internet file-swapping service to be "fully embraced by the music industry," and boasted it would carry up to 30 million tracks from "all the major labels."
New York-based Warner Music undermined that claim, declaring in a statement that it "has not authorized the use of our content on Qtrax's recently announced service."
Universal Music Group and EMI Group PLC later confirmed they did not have licensing deals in place with Qtrax, noting discussions were still ongoing. A call to Sony BMG Music Entertainment was not immediately returned. Music services such as Qtrax must secure licensing agreements from the record companies, which own the rights to master recordings, and music publishers, which control the rights to song compositions. Each of the major recording companies also operates music publishing units.
Allan Klepfisz, Qtrax's president and chief executive, acknowledged Sunday that the deal with Warner Music had not been signed, but said he expects to reach an agreement on terms "shortly."
Qtrax had been scheduled to make its online debut on Monday, a day after its splashy coming-out party at the annual Midem music business conference in Cannes, France.
Qtrax shut down after a few months following its 2002 launch to avoid potential legal trouble. The company said it latest version of the service still lets users tap into file-sharing networks to search for music. Downloads however come with copy-protection technology known as digital-rights management, or DRM, to prevent users from burning copies to a CD and calculate how to divvy up advertising sales with labels.
The company also promises that its music downloads will be playable on Apple Inc.'s iPods and Macintosh computers until April 15. That's unusual, as iPods only playback unrestricted MP3s files or tracks with Apple's proprietary version of DRM, dubbed FairPlay.
Apple has been resistant in the past to license FairPlay to other online music retailers. That stance has effectively limited iPod users to loading up their players with tracks purchased from Apple's iTunes Music Store, or MP3s ripped from CDs or bought from vendors.
Rob Enderle, technology analyst at the San Jose-based Enderle Group, said he expects Apple would take steps to block Qtrax files from working on iPods.
Last fall, the company issued a software update for its iPhones that created problems for units modified by owners so they would work with a cellular carrier other than AT&T Inc. As a result, some modified phones ceased to work after the software update.
The move prompted antitrust lawsuits on behalf of some consumers.

Juniper Research that provides research and analytical services to the global hi-tech communications sector, providing consultancy, analyst reports and industry commentary.
announces that music, games and mobile TV, the global mobile entertainment market contributors are expected to increase the level of rise from just over $20 billion in 2007 to more than $64 billion by 2012.
The leader sector on the market of the mobile entertainment industry is expected to rise from nearly $9 billion in 2007 to $17.5 billion in 2012. As for the mobile games they will retain its second-ranking. The growth of which was under $5 billion in 2007 and is expected nearly $16 billion in 2012. The third place goes to mobile TV, the rise will show the following: from $1.4 billion in 2007 to $11.9 billion in 2012.
“With revenues from voice services declining and messaging revenues flatlining, last year finally saw a number of more sophisticated entertainment services begin to fulfil their potential and redress the balance. With more widespread penetration of 3G handsets – or entertainment-focused 2.5G handsets like the iPhone – there is likely to be a much greater surge in both the adoption and overall usage in rich media services” says Dr Windsor Holden, the report author.
According to the SourceWire the findings of the Juniper report include:
• Regulations and prohibitions will limit opportunities in the adult and gambling sectors, although Juniper Research envisages that restrictions on gambling services in the key US market will ease in the medium term
• China and the Far East will remain the largest regional market for mobile entertainment throughout the period covered by the report, with revenues rising from $8.5bn in 2007 to nearly $21.3bn by 2012
• Entertainment service adoption remains constrained by difficulties with the user interface, network speed and coverage and the excessive cost of data services

Former GNR guitarist SLASH is convinced the band's first new album in 14 years, Chinese Democracy, will be released despite being long overdue.
When released, it will be the band's first album of original studio material since the simultaneous release of Use Your Illusion I and II in 1991.
Ironically, the track listing for Chinese Democracy has not been officially confirmed. Nevertheless, there are many leaks and some versions have been in public circulation for a while. As a matter of fact, as of writing this I'm listening to I.R.S., which has been "living" in my player for quite a long.
Better, Chinese Democracy, I.R.S, Madagascar, Sorry, The Blues, There Was a Time are the titles that are already confirmed.
The release of the Chinese Democracy album has been put back indefinitely until Axl Rose finishes working on the new material. But as SLASH is convinced, the world will see the release of the long awaited album sooner or later :)

What Is the Result of Reversing Following Combination of Letters
YENTIRB SRAEPS?
Will not make you lose time and say that it is Britney Spears.
Want to know more about her?
There are lots of web sites about her:
Britney SpearsWorld of BritneyBritney.comBritneySpears.orgBritney Spears - TMZ.comBritney Spears - IMDbBritney Spears - Yahoo! MusicBritney Spears Video Pictures - FOXNews.comwho is britney spearsBritney SpearsWell, if I list all the links existing in the world of internet, I should say that there is no time and patience. There are about 41,600,000 results spread over 100 pages. Just type Britney Spears.
I am not a fan of her. But Even if you are not, it is impossible not to hear about her on TV, Radio, Newspaper,
Internet. The latest news I came across about her is that she hit the parked car and was charged with misdemeanor hit and run causing property damage. She's also charged with driving without a valid license.
Seems she had left neither note for the driver of the vehicle, nor police report. There could have been known nothing about this accident if not the video. It shows that pop star is much more concerned with the damage of her own car rather than the other drivers’.
According to the
California Vehicle Code the owner should leave their information in a conspicuous place and inform local law enforcement of the incident.
Based on the facts the “
prosecution claims Spears "did willfully and unlawfully fail, neglect, and refuse" to do that.”
Britney Spears faces six months in jail or a $1,000 fine for each of the misdemeanor counts. The arrangement is set for October 10.

What would you get if you had taken phone and Internet out from iPhone? You would get a new, 6th generation of iPod. The new device will be introduced on 5th of September along with a new array of digital offerings.
engadget has already posted a photo (shown on the left) of the new iPod and many blogs are full of
speculative mockups.
According to MacRumors' speculation, Apple might introduce wireless iPods. Wi-Fi might be used to either browse the iTunes store remotely and/or use the iPod as a remote control for iTunes.
What is Apple planning for its fans? We'll only have to wait and see.
Recently a friend of mine was speaking about a new smartphone and mentioned that the phone did not have an Operating System. Today, when probably even refrigerators have some sort of an operating system, it is funny to think that a device like a modern smartphone would not have one [Operating System].
It is no more a secret that the world is moving to a single device model. Instead of carrying an MP3 player, digital camera, mobile phone, pocket computer, portable gaming system and god knows how many other devices, we'll be carrying only one. And I am scared to call it a mobile phone.
I firmly believe that specialized devices are far more powerful than universal or as many people like to call them all-in-one devices. But being able to have full functionality in a single device is such a great thing that it creates a viable business model.
Highly functional future mobile phones will focus on four main functions: gaming, photo & video capturing, information access (web, e-mail, instant messaging, GPS, etc) and multimedia playback. While these functions are present in existing devices, the quality of the functionality is quite limited. For instance, even the most advanced devices like Nokia's N95 cannot deliver the saming gaming experience as say Sony PSP does and while modern phones boast 5 Mega Pixel and better cameras, a high end digital camera easily beats the quality of the pictures shot.
Therefore, the future efforts of device manufacturers will be applied to integrating the same level of experience in universal devices as the specialized devices deliver. Examples? There are many.
Recently Sony Ericsson's gaming guru Peter Ahnegard has revealed that the company will offer a PlayStation branded phone. This does not mean that the phone will support actual PlayStation games but rather will deliver a PlayStation like gaming experience. According to Ahnegard the device shall hit the market before Christmas but of which here he has not noted.
Nokia is building mobile phones that shall deliver the same level of music and multimedia experience as high end MP3 and media players do.
Finally, it must be noted that constant increase in mobile network speed will allow manufacturers to produce more and more sophisticated devices.
Welcome to the world of a single device.
Nokia, Internet covered the whole world where there is no place for those who do not respect quality, speed, and comfort... But there is not an individual who do so. Quality gives life long experience, speed saves time, and comfort makes us feel better. The world’s largest manufacturer of mobile telephones, Nokia cares about its customers and deliver value mutually beneficial to each person. In the variable world and highly competitive environment Nokia launches web music service.
One can imagine how many music fans are in the world. That is the reason Nokia predicts that the market for the phones that can download music from the Internet and that can play music, games promises the growth by 50% to 120 million units this year.
Prices:
Track: 1 euro;
Album: 10 euros;
Games: 6-10 euros.

He's Axl, he did not appear at the event. But nobody has said he would do. It were only heavy rumours. Slash was a no-show as well.
Former Guns n' Roses members Izzy Stradlin (guitar) and Duff McKagan (bass) joined ex-GNR drummer Steven Adler and his Adler's Appetite band for a couple of "Appetite for Destruction" numbers ("Mr. Brownstone" and "Paradise City") during the bands s headlining appearance at the Key Club in West Hollywood, California Saturday night.
But sooner or later, a full reunion will happen. Every GNR fan expects this and so do I. But I think many GNR fans are mad at Axl
"What would it have taken an hour or two out of his life to hang with some old friends for a few minutes and make a lot of people happy. What did holding out endear him to Axl more..I doubt it. I mean Slash will go play with tons of people that he has no connection too but the one time an old friend needs him to be on board he can't show....Slash is as big of an ass as Axl".
Some fans are even more critical. But friends, come on, let's don't forget those fantastic compositions that GNR have released, which have delivered enormous pleasure to us. Let's try to understand Axl's point of view and the reasons why he did not appear at the event and let's hope that one day we see a true and full re-union.

Now BBC viewers will be able to choose from different programs those which attract attention, have interest in. Feeling of convenience and comfort play main role in successful development of the new product.

A new version of Guns N' Roses song "Better" have been played the last couple of days on the Texas-based radio station
Q94.5Rocks. This is a dream come true for all Gunners. According to the station, the version played is not a demo or a leak.
Ever since the station started playing the new "Better" it's the most requested song.
The radio station web site is running an online poll with a question "From the following list, which band is your favorite?". The results? As of June 2, 2007, Guns n' Roses have a 69% of the votes (1298 votes) leaving far behind AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy, Aerosmith and many other rock bands and performers. In the picture you can see the looong red bar, which belongs to GNR of course!
