Ecology the field that needs to be protected the most in theworld in order to save the world, was the main issue for GreenRoad Technologies that is a world leader in driver safety technologies. It’s initiative aims to improve driver safety and reduce CO2 emissions.

According to the SOURCEWIRE, PHS Datashred provides a secure collection and confidential shredding service across the UK. The cooperation of GreenRoad and PHS Datashred covers a three-month trial of Safety Center in 20 London-based HGVs and LCVs in the spring of 2008. GreenRoad demonstrated a 33% improvement in safety and a clear reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

“Our drivers are the lynchpin of our business and their safety is always of paramount importance to us. We were already motivated to find new ways to reduce crashes when we came across GreenRoad. With the rising cost of diesel, GreenRoad’s ability to reduce fuel consumption and associated CO2 emissions sealed the deal for us,” said Ian Walsh, National Transport Manager, Datashred Division, PHS Group. “Only GreenRoad Safety Center is proven to offer the analysis, feedback and incentive programme to positively impact driving behaviour.”

As for the GreenRoad Safety Center it rates driving skills without invasion of the driver’s privacy or tracking their location. An in-vehicle sensor that is in more than 120 countries collects information and analyses to give the driver feedback about their driving and the areas that need improvement.

The results show that GreenRoad clients have reduced accidents by an average of 54 percent and lowered accident costs by an average of 65 percent. “PHS Datashred takes its responsibilities to its drivers very seriously. It has always strived to improve road safety and the installation of GreenRoad boosts its efforts dramatically,” said Aidan Rowsome, vice president, GreenRoad EMEA. “We believe that PHS Datashred has the potential to set the benchmark for safety for lorry and van fleets moving forward.”

Acoholic energy drinks contain a lot of sugar and flavoring. The difference is that this new generation of malt beverages also contains stimulants. A typical can has about as much caffeine as a venti cup of Starbucks, along with additives like guarana and ginseng that can rev the central nervous system.

Though flavored malt beverages make up less than 2% of alcohol servings in the U.S. The new alcoholic energy drinks have a further pull on the youth market: the promise that you can get drunk but still party all night because of the caffeine.

Law-enforcement officials want tighter regulations on the drinks. Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler, a Democrat who is helping lead a national campaign against the beverages, calls them "disgusting." He says: "The caffeine is a stimulant that triggers the false impression that kids can drink more and still function normally. The kids won't recognize they are actually drunk...And then all of a sudden, over a short period of time, it goes Bam, and they're gone."

Mixing alcohol, a depressant, with stimulants is nothing new. But alcoholic energy drinks are different because they are so obviously marketed to kids.

Researchers conducted - Caffeine won't keep you from getting drunk. In fact, drinking caffeine with alcohol could be more dangerous than drinking alcohol alone, from a psychological perspective. One of the fascinating things about how humans process alcohol is that we involve our brains as well as our bodies: we have at least some capacity to overcome alcohol's effects by sheer force of will. Mark Fillmore, a psychologist at the University of Kentucky, has found that study volunteers who are warned that a certain alcoholic drink will highly impair their performance on a psychomotor test actually do better on the test than people who are given the same drink but no information about impairment. In other words, at least in a lab setting, those who are led to believe that they're about to get truly blotto end up not letting themselves get so blotto. They don't perform as well on their tests as sober people, but they perform a lot better than the average drinker.

Alcohol functions in your body pretty much the same, whether you mix it with caffeine or not: you will be impaired. The problem is, you may not feel as impaired if caffeine is present. Clinical and Experimental Research found that people who drank energy drinks with alcohol felt better than those who drank only alcohol — the former group had significantly less dry mouth and headache. They also perceived their motor coordination to be better, even though it wasn't.

So if your beverage of choice carries a silly name like Tilt, Bawls, Sparks or Rip it, you’re probably too young to drink anyway.

Apple's iPhone is expected to enter Canadian market. Unfortunatly exact date is not announced but it seems to be nice when service get wider. So do Rogers Communications Inc..

Ted Rogers, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Communications Inc. on tuesday issued the following statement: We're thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can't tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.

Demand for Apple's iPhone is very hight not only in canada I mean worldwide. Russia makes it fashionable and phone appears trendy the latest must-have for Russia's elite, numbering about 500,000 in all in the country already. This is despite the US$700 price that iPhones sell for in that country. Of course, this is nothing compared to the $1,800 it sold for when it was first launched in the US.

I see Apple's iPhone does not gives up. Repid market share and hight distribution lives it’s results - people like it so much. So we have to be patient and wait for the next announcement but may be iPhone already brouhgt to canada. Who knows? Even Ted Rogers keeps silent.

According to Japanese researchers paying people a compliment appears to activate the same reward centre in the brain as paying them cash. The study offers scientific support for the long-held assumption that people get a psychological boost from having a good reputation.

Specially created team studied 19 healthy people using a brain imaging technique known as functional magnetic resonance imaging or fMRI. In one set of experiments, people played a gambling game in which they were told one of three cards would yield a payout. The researchers then monitored the brain activity triggered when the subjects received a cash reward. In a second set of experiments, people were told they were being evaluated by strangers based on information from a personality questionnaire and a video they had made. The researchers then monitored reactions to these staged evaluations, including when the subjects thought strangers had paid them a compliment. Both kinds of rewards triggered activity in a reward-related area of the brain.

The finding represents an important first step toward explaining complex human social behaviours such as altruism.

People who spend hours and hours playing video games exhibit the same personality traits as people with Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism, researchers say. The new UK research fuels concerns that video games could further alienate an already isolated group of people and increase mental health problems like depression. 400 gamers were examined, most of them were males.

The more time a person spent playing video games, the researchers found, the more likely they were to show three specific traits usually associated with Asperger's: neuroticism and a lack of extraversion and agreeableness. But people with Asperger's may be more vulnerable to becoming addicted to playing video games because it allows them to escape into a world where they can avoid face-to-face interactions.

People with Asperger's typically find social situations stressful. They often can't make eye contact and fail to pick up social cues, like boredom, in other people. The condition tends to isolate children and can trigger depression, which according to researchers, video games may encourage. The exact cause of Asperger's is unknown, although researchers suspect there is a genetic component. Treatment for Asperger's usually consists of improving social skills and breaking repetitive behavior, the very things video games discourage.

I’ll try being easy with games and not to get addicted gamer!

According to new research from the University of Cambridge, a male trader's daily testosterone level is higher on days when he makes more than he would in an average day. What's more, the higher a trader's morning testosterone level, the more money he'll likely have netted before the close of business that day. Testosterone, in other words, can be good for business.

Taking the average of just two daily samples makes it tricky to untangle the impact that a higher than average testosterone level has on that day's profit and loss or vice versa. Testosterone levels are known to rise during competitive encounters as much as they do during sexual ones, so it's hardly surprising that the hormone responds to the trials of financial markets.

The effects triggered by chronically elevated levels of testosterone can have the opposite effect. Animals observed in this same situation by scientists start to pick fights they ought to avoid, or to patrol a wider, more hazardous patch of territory. Perception of risk becomes blurred. For a trader on a roll in the midst of a bubble, for instance, that suggests "several rounds of winning means testosterone so high they start taking stupid risks," - says John Coates, a former Wall Street trader turned senior research fellow at Cambridge, and lead author of the study.

French telecom and media group Vivendi won permission from the European Commission on Wednesday to merge its videogame unit with Activision Inc in a $9.85 billion deal. The deal will give Vivendi a 52 percent stake in a new industry giant called Activision Blizzard with annual revenue of $3.8 billion.

The Commission said for "all categories of game software, the combined firm would continue to face several strong, effective competitors, such as Electronic Arts, and the game console manufacturers, such as Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft." Activision is riding high on the success of games such as "Guitar Hero", "Tony Hawk" and "Call of Duty" but has lacked an offering in the online role-playing area, dominated by "World of Warcraft" from Vivendi's Blizzard Entertainment.

A new study from Yale University suggests the converse trend: rather than feeling tolerance in our society, the overweight and obese say they feel more heavily discriminated against now than they did a decade ago.

Led by Tatiana Andreyeva, a postdoctoral research associate at Yale's Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity, a team of researchers questioned 1,100 subjects, aged 35 to 74, twice over a 10-year span . Participants answered nine additional questions about everyday experiences, such as how they were treated in restaurants, and whether they had encountered name-calling, harassment or threats. The subjects were asked to indicate the reasons they felt they had been discriminated against whether it was because of age, gender, race, height or weight, physical disability, religion or sexual orientation. Between the two survey periods, the rate of discrimination due to height or weight increased from 7% of respondents to 12% of respondents.

The study is one of the first to track patterns of discrimination based on weight. It's worth noting, however, that the survey relied on people's own perception of discrimination. In addition, the authors found that rates of discrimination by age and gender also increased in the same time period, suggesting that several forms of bias - or perhaps sensitivity to perceived bias - is on the rise overall, not just against the overweight. If rates of weight discrimination are indeed on the rise, say the authors, then it's up to society to mandate legal protections for those who are overweight, just as laws protect people from discrimination by race, gender, disability and age.

P.S. As to me I’m not thin, I do not keep any diet, I love chocolate and feel so happy…

Do you believe in mysterious creatures? Or maybe you are an eyewitness of something like El Chupacabra is?

This name means "the goat sucker" in Spanish. The reason for this name derives from the fact that the victims of this creature were usually goats who died with two puncture wounds to the throat and all of the blood was removed from their bodies.

At first it was spotted in Puerto Rico in 1994, where distressed farm owners began finding their livestock in this rather garish state, since it migrated off the island and has recently been spotted in many locations including South America as well as the US. The occurrences began shortly after hurricane Hugo, and led any to believe that secret genetic testing had been being conducted by the US military, and that a facility deep in the rain forest had been destroyed or damaged, and these genetically altered animals escaped. Soon after, the sightings of the creatures began to spread, first from Central America, then to South America, Mexico and to the United States.

Like other creatures in the crypto zoologist’s barnyard, the chupacabra has been variously described. Some witnesses have seen a small half-alien, half-dinosaur tailless vampire with quills running down its back; others think that they have seen a panther like creature with a long snake-like tongue; still others have seen a hopping animal that leaves a trail of sulfuric stench. Some think it may be a type of dinosaur. Some are convinced that the wounds on animals whose deaths have been attributed to the chupacabra indicate an alien presence. Such creatures are known as Anomalous Biological Entities in UFO circles.

There have been, of course reports of attacks on other types of animals, as well as attacks on small children. There are other theories popular on the internet about these creatures, that they are "pets" of extra-terrestrial beings etc... Although some people say, that they have seen the Chupacabra's tracks, in many cases there are no signs of blood or tracks around the dead animals.

The El Chupacabra although seen by many has never been photograph and to this day we have nothing but the eyewitness accounts and artist renderings.

Facing the problem of addiction is never an easy task. Products that couses addictions always are advertised and untiadvertisment does not work. If that wasn’t tough enough, there are so many choices in drug rehabilitation that making the right choice can seem impossible.

A new booklet reveals the three barriers that stand between an addict and lifetime sobriety. With this knowledge, anyone trying to help a person addicted to drugs or alcohol will have a greater understanding of the causes of the problem with which to make decisions. The route to sobriety for the addicted person can seem more accessible. “The Life Cycle and Mechanics of Addiction” is available to anyone.

It was written out of the thirty years of experience of Gary W. Smith, the Executive Director of Narconon Arrowhead.

“Without an understanding of the true causes of addiction, some people may never be able to make a full and lasting recovery. Here at Narconon, we see that more people make a lasting recovery with a rehab program like ours that addresses each of the three barriers thoroughly,” - says Ryan Thorpe, Director of Admissions at Narconon Arrowhead. “

Effective rehabilitation and education has been the business of the Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation and education network for more than forty years. The Narconon program was founded in 1966 by William Benitez in Arizona State prison, and is based on the humanitarian works of L. Ron Hubbard. In more than 120 centers around the world, Narconon programs restore drug and alcohol abusers and addicts to a clean and sober lifestyle.

Since its founding in 1979, Nickelodeon has developed many good-for-you programs, aimed at spurring kids' education and development. SpongeBob is not one of those shows. But it's the most funny, surreal, inventive example of the explosion in creative kids' (and adult) entertainment that Nick, Cartoon Network and their ilk made possible.

SpongeBob SquarePants is an Emmy-nominated American animated television series and media franchise. It is one of Nickelodeon's Nicktoons and is currently the most watched show on Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is now broadcast across the world. It was created by artist, animator, and former marine biologist, Stephan Hillenburg, and is produced through his production company, United Plankton Pictures, Inc.

SpongeBob is one in a long line of cartoons that is designed to appeal to adults as well as children. This has a lot to do with the absurd way underwater life and situations are represented, and with the situations, references, and words used, which younger viewers might not understand.

The show is set deep in the Pacific Ocean in a city called Bikini Bottom. The inhabitants of the city include SpongeBob SquarePants, a square yellow sea sponge who lives in a pineapple; SpongeBob's pet snail, Gary, who happens to meow like a cat; Squidward Tentacles, a grumpy neighbor who lives in a Moai (an Easter Island head); SpongeBob's best friend Patrick, who lives under a rock; Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob's boss and owner of the Krusty Krab; Plankton, owner of the Krusty Krab's rival restaurant, the Chum Bucket; and Sandy Cheeks, a sea-dome-dwelling squirrel.

Jellyfish buzz and sting like bees, worms bark like dogs, scallops act like birds, and SpongeBob talks on a "shell phone" and eats "sea-nut butter." Under sea puns bubble up throughout the program, even as life underwater seems very familiar to life above.

SpongeBob gives us funny mood and many smiling faces. He may not has a spine, or much of a brain, but he's all heart.

If you are a fun of SpongeBob SquarePants you may also visit its fun club on http://spongebob.net/.

Mobile phone seems to appear the main enemy of many telecom corporations. Make a mobile call could be an expensive but when it is urgent you usually apply for it and it does not matter you pay “big” money because you’re the owner of such a fashionable mobile phone. There are too many reasons why we use mobile phone almost in every situation.

China Telecom Corp. is one of those who have problems to that point because its annual profits fell 13 percent last year as more customers switched to mobile phones. Net profit in 2007 fell to 23.7 billion Yuan ($3.4 billion), from 27.2 billion Yuan in 2006. An income from its voice business fell 7.9 percent from the year before as the number of its access lines in service fell 1.2 percent to 220 million, from 222.7 million in 2006. However, overall revenues climbed 1.7 percent to 178.7 billion Yuan ($25.5 billion) from 175.6 billion Yuan.

China Telecom is gearing up for a "full services offering" to expand its non-fixed line broadband and wireless businesses as it struggles to compete with cell-phone rival China Mobile.

"Although the intensifying market competition is a serious challenge to us, the upcoming full services offering will bring enormous business opportunities," - Wang Xiaochu, China Telecom's chairman, said in a statement.

The company saw declines in virtually every area of its traditional phone business. Revenue from local phone services, which comprised nearly 40 percent of total operating revenues, fell 9.8 percent. Upfront connection fees dropped 33.7 percent; installation fees fell 6 percent; income from monthly fees declined 12.5 percent; and revenue from long-distance phone services sank 6 percent.

Millennium challenge – is not amazing? Mobile business still grows up and “others” start sinking.

Have you ever thought of an island that looks like a fish from the globe overview? Isn’t it funny a fishy island surrounded with fishes inside the sea? Oh, you may think that my geography is awful, but I’m able to proof this reality. You may check out yourself via the map. Follow the instruction: It lies 3.2 km east of Java and approximately 8 degrees south of the equator. East to west, the island is approximately 153 km wide and 112 km north to south, with a surface area of 5,632 km². Oh, I think you have already found it – Bali itself – an island that makes your dreams true.

Don’t you wish to be there while your holidays, spending great time in a wild nature and wide your dreams horizon? Also you may appear a person who is always ready for innovations, who is not afraid of the highest point like Mount Agung at 3,142 m high, an active volcano that last erupted in March 1963. Mount Batur is also still active. About 30,000 years ago it experienced a catastrophic eruption - one of the largest known volcanic events on the Earth. I’m a little bit afraid but still I’d like to be there, it seems to be an interesting advantage.

Bali consists of about three million people, nearly all of who practice the Balinese Hindu religion that is deeply interwoven with art and ritual, and is less closely preoccupied with scripture, law, and belief than Islam in Indonesia. Balinese and Indonesian are the most widely spoken languages in Bali. English is a common third language of many Balinese, owing to the requirements of the large tourism industry. Could you imagine that staff working in Bali's tourist centers is often, by necessity, multilingual to some degree, speaking as many as 8 or 9 different languages to an often surprising level of competence.

Also there is a luxury service provided by many companies, those offering high standard apartments mostly like villas in exchange of some money. But it’s not all; the main goal is that you feel like a “big fish” out the aquarium.

www.in-balivillas.com is one of those who give you an opportunity to find out yourself there. They introduce you the finest Villas in Seminyak in the Island of Gods. Surrounded by Attractively designed private homes or villas close with Seminyak beach, private villas and offer the real Luxurious stay. Some packages has dedicated to making family travel fun, rewarding, and affordable for the entire family for less than the cost of staying at a good Bali hotels in Bali.

“Fishy” Island has already amazed me I hope you do so, so the rest thing that I can do is to wish you an interesting journey. A “big fish” - let it out the aquarium!
