I found out the hard way that the iPhone 3G "12 month hardware warranty" is useless in the U.S. part of the caribbean after the initial free "apple care" expires. They won't let you file online for a repair, and they won't let you talk to an apple rep for a case #. Sounds like a "You bought it you got it warranty." The WiFi failed. Thinking about shipping it to Balmer at MS and asking him to do local shipping to Apple Repair for me jusst so he can have a field day with Jobs. I have complex electronic equipment from the 70's that still works. Guess the WiFi tends to suicide like its Foxconn builders.
