Tech DoubleCheck Helps Validate Spending in the IT Recession

There we have quite interesting questions asked at the PRWEB: : What happens when a soft economy becomes brittle and the IT decision makers are being forced to trim staff and augment technical projects with low-paying resources? What are IT managers and recruiters to do when IT budgets are cut and enterprise projects are forced to be supported with in-house staff and global outsourcing? According to the PRWEB, Tech DoubleCheck has packaged the comprehensive solution to justify placing those valuable candidates in a tightly squeezed IT budget.

What does Tech DoubleCheck offer? That is extensive technical interviewing in each area. DoubleCheck provides full identity checking, in order to ensure candidates are not misrepresenting themselves between these two processes: Interview and the placement. Tech DoubleCheck works in cooperation with the certified psychotherapists. They aim to check the behavioral and work protocol of each candidate. According to the results specialists get an extensive in-depth review of each candidate that outlines a cost-benefit analysis of hiring the candidate for a particular job requirement.

Before America admitted a looming economic crisis, the Big 5 consulting firms who were placing junior-level employees and outsourced developers from other countries with their most valued clients had good effect as it cut costs and made more profitable. Besides the good effects, a month or two into the project, it was vivid that only two to three qualified resources holded up the rest of the billable team.

Says Tony Carter, Vice President, MeshByte, "The number of developers is astounding. The ones that learned online or from a book are more plentiful than the seasoned ones. Tech DoubleCheck guaranteed me success by pointing out the ones with the required business savvy and work ethic to make my projects successful".

Tech DoubleCheck is great not only for the recruiter but it is great for the candidate because he knows his areas of weakness.

The 25th of December is the great birthday of Jesus that is celebrated by millions of people all over the world. Though no one knows the real birthday of Jesus, as the date is not given in the Bible. Then what makes us do so? Why the 25th of December? According to the Christmas Customs, the birth of Jesus probably didn't happen in the year 1AD but slightly earlier, in about 5, 6 or 7BC.

In the 5th century Christmas was first celebrated on the 25th December that was in the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. He first bought the Roman pagan 'sun-day' (the first day of the week) and the 'sabbath' (the Christians holy day) together to what we now call Sunday. As it is mentioned in Christmas Customs, this date was probably chosen because the Winter Solstice and the ancient pagan Roman midwinter festivals called 'Saturnalia' and 'Dies Natalis Solis Invicti' took place in December.

Anyway we do celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December. People of different nationalities congratulate each other. And it is always pleasant to hear the phrase: Marry Christmas in your own language. We do congratulate our friends in their languages in order to express our respect.
And if you have a foreign friend whom you’d wish to say Marry Christmas in you can choose from these languages:

People’s imagination has no limits. Day by day our heads are full of new ideas searching for fulfilment. And now the worldwide web is pleased to host a new website for people who wish to sell their unwanted Christmas presents. The site, www.recycleagift.com offers to sell unwanted entertainment presents free of charge from Boxing day until the end of January.

According to the SourceWire, Recycleagift.com is very easy to use, and the first 10 sales are free of any fees or charges. Among most entertainment items can be sold including Books, DVDs, CDs and games and the site is expecting to handle thousands of trades on Boxing day.

To say the truth I can believe that some DVDs, CDs, or games might be unwanted but hardly believe there is an unwanted book. Even the worst one can teach something in your life.

The site is powered by PlayTrade and head of PlayTrade Luke commented,“Unwanted Christmas presents can be difficult to return without the embarrassing 'do you still have the receipt?' questions. This site makes life easy.”

Daniel Dingle, who is the inventor of the world's first water powered car back in 1968, was met by Ethos CEO Peter Aldred in March of this year to discuss a strategic partner alliance with, now he is sentenced to 20 years in prison.

According to the SourceWire, Peter Aldred commented, "This is very convenient for 'the powers that be' who do not want Daniel's secret to be reviled. But we have already renewed our previous negations and are confident now of a mutually beneficial outcome for all mankind..."

Inventor, 82, gets 20 years for ‘estafa’ By Allison LopezPhilippine Daily InquirerFirst Posted 03:11:00 12/20/2008

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/inquirerheadlines/nation/view/2...

Frank Chavez, a veteran lawyer, approached Dingel on Friday in order to immediately appeal the court decision before it became final on Christmas Eve.“I am taking up his case and will see to it that his conviction is reversed,” Chavez said. “Mankind will benefit from his invention ... How will we know his secret if we put him behind bars?”Chavez, a former solicitor general, said he was impressed when he rode Dingel’s “water-powered” Toyota Corolla sedan.

Peter continued, "The most interesting point to this article is the fact that in 2000 a multi-national corporation gave Daniel $410,000. Do you think that a multi-national corporation of this stature would freely back a project like this without first doing their due diligence that the invention is in fact genuine and far from being a hoax as the powers that be would prefer everyone to believe! I know that I definitely would before parting with $410,000.

The case isn't disputing the fact that the invention works but rather, for whatever reason, that Daniel decided not to proceed with the project with them. Maybe he thought, like he said to me, they were just another group who wanted to steal his invention from him once they discovered the secret of how it actually works for themselves.

There is a question: Why is it that all water powered car inventors seem to wind up either dead or in prison...? There seems to be a definite pattern immerging here... We are offered to draw our own conclusions...

When 92% of Americans believe the United States economy is in a recession, then there really is something to worry about.

According to a recent study based on 1,550 people across the country paint a frightful portrait of the distressed lives of families and individuals across the nation.

Out of the 92% that say we're in a recession, a whopping 87% say the recession has negatively impacted the spending habits of them and their families, is noted on PRWeb.com. The process was noticed about six to nine months ago as the majority of these Americans say. This change impacted their spending habits.

Findings emphasise the following aspects: nearly three out of four Americans polled in this study claim to be staying in more, dining out and personal shopping less often, and relying on coupons more. 50% of Americans are also shopping for groceries less often and shopping in bulk more, 35% are even shopping for basic necessities less. 46% of those polled are visiting their families less and 53% are vacationing less.

According to the PRWeb.com 20% believe the three worst fiscal aspects of this recession are unemployment, home foreclosures, and government bailouts of the banking/finance industry; taking a toll on personal lives, these changes are causing businesses to struggle. 56% these Americans who are dining out less often claim to have noticed some of their favorite restaurants or stores go out of business within the past year. But there are some businesses that are thriving in spite of the recession. For example, since Americans are shopping in bulk more and hunting for better deals, large bulk retailers such as Wal-Mart and Costco remain recession-resilient.

What are the prognoses? About one in five people have really hit rock bottom and have declared bankruptcy (or know someone who has) within the past year and 53% believe that the worst of the recession is yet to come. On a positive note, 47% believe that President Elect Barack Obama was the candidate that would have the most positive impact on our economy (only 28% said John McCain and 25% said neither).

For the Christmas BBC offers to younger viewers their own version of BBC iPlayer. According to the BBC Press Office, BBC iPlayer allows viwers to watch shows they love on-demand in a specially designed child-friendly service.

BBC iPlayer is designed for children aged 6 to 12. They will access BBC iPlayer and view for a week after broadcast a selection of programmes in an area sectioned off from other channel programming. But some programmes will be available for up to 13 weeks as "series catch-ups" (stacked).

The new service provides a dedicated place on the internet for the BBC's young viewers to view CBBC's innovative children's programmes, and puts children's viewing priorities first.

As noted at BBC Press Office, Richard Deverell, Controller of BBC Children's, says: "The iPlayer for CBBC is central to fulfilling our ambitions for CBBC as it enables us to provide programmes for children whenever they want to see them – not just when we choose to schedule them. Children already live in the fully interactive and on demand world and this important launch means CBBC can be there for them."

Anthony Rose, Controller, Vision and Online Media Group, says: "Over the past year we made BBC iPlayer available on a wide range of mobile phones, portable media players and gaming consoles, allowing our audience to experience BBC iPlayer programmes around the house and on the move.

"However, we realise that a lot of those devices are primarily available to adults, so today we're pleased to unveil a version of BBC iPlayer specifically for children."

There are a significant number of requests each day for CBBC content on the main BBC iPlayer.
Considering the target audience of the programmes, on the basis of comprehensive user-testing, the design – produced by a combined team of children's interactive experts from BBC Vision and video-on-demand specialists from the BBC's Future Media and Technology division, the web relies more heavily on visual cues rather than text navigation.

And now how to access iPlayer for CBBC? It is possible in one of these ways:
§ Go to the CBBC web site (bbc.co.uk/cbbc) and click on the iPlayer link shown there.
§ On the main BBC iPlayer site, when playing a CBBC programme, a link to the same programme on the iPlayer for CBBC site will be offered.
§ You can access iPlayer for CBBC directly at bbc.co.uk/iplayer/cbbc.

Seems there are countries where online activity is heavily censored by the government, but a new service from World Secure Channel lets web surfers roam the internet without regulations. The users access the web without being controls and without exposing secure information.

According to the PRWeb, via a WSC VPN account from World Secure Channel, internet users in countries like China, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brazil, Ethiopia, Iran, India, Korea, Morocco, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Syria, Sudan, Thailand, Turkey, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Yemen can bypass regulation preventing the use of Skype, MSN, and other VoIP applications.

World Secure Channels VPN service can be used securely at WiFi hotspots to ensure the safety of internet connections and as a general security measure against online attacks. VPN is a Virtual Private Network or tunnel over the internet. Each VPN connection is totally anonymous on the web and helps keep users activities, security and privacy totally unidentifiable and safe.

How does the enhanced security work? Users get an added layer of security and anonymity that prevents local ISP (Internet Service Provider) from regulating an internet connection and prevents harassment by being tracked via IP address. Internet users access blocked sites and bypass proxy and content filters without the internet service provider (including offices and educational institutions) being able to detect activity.

Further benefits:
· Users IP address is invisible to the other end
· Users receive a new USA-based IP
· Users are anonymous anywhere their World Secure Channel account is accessed even behind a firewall
· World Secure Channel provides a 128 bit Strong Encryption that prevents even ISPs from spying
· PPTP protocol is faster and easier to set up than SSL or IPSEC
· L2TP/IPSEC is also available now upon request
· VOIP (Net2Phone, Skype, etc...) World Secure Channel allows users to place calls even if theyre being blocked by an ISP. Encryption hides the fact that users are placing a VOIP call and only a connection to World Secure Channel servers will show up in ISP logs

World Secure Channels Requirements:

· a modern PC
· an internet connection
· ADSL routers must support PPTP passthrough, and three to five minutes for setup.

Subscription-based VPN cost $20 per month for unrestricted internet access.

A British museum curator has built a working replica of a 2,000-year-old Greek machine that has been called the world's first computer, according to the WIRED, GADGETS LAB.

37 interlocking dials crafted with the precision and complexity of a 19th-century Swiss clock, the Antikythera mechanism for modeling and predicting the movements of the heavenly bodies as well as the dates and locations of upcoming Olympic games. That is how it looked.

Scientists date the original 81 shards of the Antikythera to 150 B.C. For the decades the purpose of it was a mystery.

Since the 1950s scientists worked together the story, but not alone as they got help of sophisticated imaging technology in recent years.

Michael Wright, who is a former curator at the Science Museum in London, has built a replica of the Antikythera, which works perfectly.

And how Antikythera works? Interface is simple, and operated by a simple knob on the side. According to the WIRED, this “conceals the intricacy within, amounting to a complex mathematical model, tracking the movements of planetary bodies and incorporating a series of submechanisms to account for the eccentricities of their rotation. “

On a faceplace there are featured Greek zodiac and an Egyptian calendar; as for the pointers, they showed the location of the moon and the five planets known at the time. On the back, an upper dial shows a 19-year calendar (matching the solunar cycle) and the timing of upcoming Olympic Games. As for a lower dial, it shows a 76-year cycle and indicates when lunar and solar eclipses can be expected in which months.

In the highly competitive world, where it becomes harder and harder to find a place and settle down the world crisis worsens the situation. More and more people are finding themselves out of work. Competition rises. But according to the PRWeb, Tony Willis, a high profile recruiter who has 15 years of experience in the industry and places candidates at fast growth companies in the technology industry, has the following advice:

1. Focus on recent experience in CV. "Most people don't care what your first job was 15 years ago, and if they do, they'll ask to hear more about it," says Willis. "Elaborate on what you've done recently."

2. Think about CV as currency. When updating CV, think about the narrative. Willis says, "It is not just a list of accomplishments and job titles. Think about the common theme that ties your career together and makes you different from other candidates."

3. Use and update social and professional networking sites. Willis believes that, "In today's world, online networking sites are one of the most critical tools for job seekers, even more than a strong resume."

4. Market yourself! Use sites to create memorable, unique business cards, thank you cards or other printed products that you can hand out at networking events. "While much of our networking these days happens online, the connections you make in the real world still carry the most weight. Don't waste an opportunity by not being able to provide contact details so people can easily follow up and remember you," says Willis.

Snow is coming and sitting in a heated room, with a slightly opened window, looking at the opposite side hardly one can not notice a man with old scarf and coat, who seems that, has nowhere to go. The only word Homelessness comes to mind … This seems an eternal problem of nations, countries …

What do we do in order to prevent this problem to be “developed”? What do we do in order to makes these people’s lives a bit easier? Only put some coins – pence, tetri …

But there is a new initiative; according to the BBC One homelessness is put in the spotlight with a follow-up series to the acclaimed BBC Three series Filthy, Rich And Homeless.

As noted in the Press release, former tennis star Annabel Croft, Coronation Street actor, Bruce Jones, the One Show's Hardeep Singh Kholi, journalist and writer Rosie Boycott and the Marquis of Blandford will be plunged headlong in to a world of sleeping rough, soup runs and hostels.

The aim of this initiative is to highlight the problems that affect homeless people everyday.

Ten days, that the participants of this initiative will live on the streets and in hostels for the homeless, will be guided and assisted by John Bird, Editor-in-Chief and founder of the Big Issue, and Craig Last, who used to work as a youth worker in hostels for Centrepoint, both of whom will ensure the experience is an authentic and informative one.

To know what the life of homeless people is like, these ten tough days on the streets will lead the contributors change their look on many things and events in their own life and the surrounding world.

According to the BBC Press Office, Maxine Watson, BBC Commissioning Executive for Documentaries, said: "Following the success of the first series, this updated version provides new insights.

"We see the sharp contrast between those who live invisible and anonymous lives on the streets and those for whom anonymity is neither a desirable nor an easy option... until now."

Richard McKerrow, Executive Producer at Love Productions, said: "Homelessness is a complex issue, but I hope that this series will go some way to challenging some of the stereotypes surrounding what it means to be homeless and be an enlightening journey for both the participants and viewers."

The Series Editor is Elliot Reed and Executive Producer for Love Productions is Richard McKerrow. BBC Executive Producer is Maxine Watson.

Holidays come and new concerns rise. What are they? I thought about almost anything to concern except dogs and pets. Seems that they are victims of holidays like Christmas, New Year ... According to the PRWeb, where Upstate New York veterinarian Dr. Richard Orzeck cites, people need to make an emergency visit to their veterinarian because of a sick pet, especially in these difficult financial times. Among the main threats are:

1. CHOCOLATE – Among Frequently Asked Questions the leader is Can chocolate kill my dog? The answer is: Depending on how much they ate, the answer is yes, it can!

2. THE HOLIDAY MEALS - begins around one week before Thanksgiving and lasts until about a week after New Year's.

3. THE CHRISTMAS TREE AND ASSOCIATED HOLIDAY DECORATIONS - the biggest problems seen involving the Christmas tree are cats (mostly) and dogs consuming the tinsel.

4. GRAPES AND RAISINS - toxic to dogs and cats is quite surprising to many people.

5. ALCOHOL POISONING - intoxication (again using the example of Aunt Debbie) is that of inhibiting the dog's inhibitions. When you remove this inhibition by alcohol or other drugs, your "nice" doggie could potentially turn into a biting and snarling (as we vets say) land shark. When this happens, your family and guests could get seriously hurt.

6. HOLIDAY PLANTS - Poinsettia, American mistletoe, Holly, most forced bulb plants (daffodils, narcissi, tulips, autumn crocuses), Lilies, Amaryllis, and probably hundreds more!!!

7. ALL OF THE OTHER STUFF MOST PEOPLE DON'T THINK ABOUT - Christmas candles and scented oils, onions, bread dough, seasonal medications, antifreeze, deicing products, batteries, tylenol, macadamia nuts, and many, many more.

We create or collect data in order to keep them and not lose. But sometimes it happens that we lose information, or the virus damages it. In order to prevent clients from these threats, DataNumen Inc. that is a provider of most effective data recovery technologies, releases Advanced Access Repair 2.0. In case .MDB files are corrupt or damaged, repair engine will recover the data at the maximum possibility.

Advanced Access Repair uses advanced technologies to scan the corrupt or damaged Microsoft Access databases (.MDB files) and recover the data in them as much as possible.

Advanced Access Repair 2.0 is based on comprehensive understanding of the Access MDB database format. The advanced algorithm of this powerful tool allows to recover every possible item in the MDB database files, because the recovery process does not rely on the structure of the original corrupt or damaged MDB database file. Sometimes the structure is completely damaged and cannot be recognized, but Advanced Access Repair is still able to analyze the raw MDB database file byte by byte and recover most of the data. It works even when other similar tools would fail! Even if there is no file corruption yet, it is still reasonable to have a copy of Advanced Access Repair 2.0 - just to be on the safe side and to use it immediately if needed.
The benefits:
· Support for new Access 2007 format,
· batch recovery,
· command line support,
· shell integration,
· Drag & drop support.

But that is not all the Advanced Access Repair 2.0 can do, it recover indexes, auto-number fields and relations, output fixed MDB file in different formats and search for MDB database files on the local computer according to special criteria.

After the war in Abkhazia the only thing I have from my pre war period is the photo album. Nothing can be compared to this middle sized, light red album that counts the seconds of my family life. But seems that while trying save your soul during the war, hardly one can remember the photo album. And later you realise that this is the only thing u should take to keep past not only in memory but on paper, even to show it to your new generation.

Nowadays that problem almost does not exist as new technologies give us opportunity to keep photos safer. With the new initiatives createyourframe.com is created. It is a completely new online experience for people everywhere who want to bring their photographic memories to life in a unique, fun and personalised way. Users can create original slide shows online for FREE. The new service combines the rather impersonal feel of a digital photo frame with the concept of a more traditional photograph album.

According to the SOURCEWIRE, by making use of www.createyourframe.com complete packaged service option, photo-lovers can literally organise everything online and simply sit back and wait for their personalised photo frame to be delivered direct to their front door; then it really is a case of ‘plug it in and go’.The service users can create a photographic slide show incorporating different themes, images, backgrounds, patterns and colours.

Sean Fergusson managing director of createyourframe.com explains more: “Whether you are looking for a lively imaginative way to view all or your photos from one centralised place, or you are looking for an individual gift idea for a loved one, we have it covered. The complete packaged service option is also particularly ideal as a gift for an elderly relative because everything is done for them, all they have to do, is plug-it in”.

“The great thing about createyourframe.com is, as soon as you become a member you are entitled to visit the site as often as you like to update your slide show, create completely new albums or order/upgrade your frame. Apart from anything else, creating family albums is a great thing to get the kids involved in. Visit the site, have a play around with the features and dig out some of those memories which sadly, like most people living in our digital age, are locked away in a folder on a PC”, concluded Fergusson.

Winter comes and brings cold nights. The first problem that stands after this period is not only the problem of heating but how to keep ourselves in fresh air even though people start spending more time indoors. Keeping warm and saving energy causes circulation decrease and the air inside homes often gets stale. It is necessary to filter contaminants out of the air in order to reduce common germs and bacteria when colds and the flu are at a peak. To deal with this problem Rabbit Air has developed an air filtration system.

To improve indoor air quality it is important to update the filtration system in house by incorporating an air purification system or adding an advanced HEPA filter to home's furnace. What does it do? Increases circulation in the home, filters out the harmful germs and bacteria prevalent in homes during the winter months, trap pet dander, dust mites, pollen and allergens while eliminating smoke and odors from cooking and common household chemicals.

A Los Angeles based company that plays a revolutionary role in the air purification industry; Rabbit Air manufactures environmentally friendly products with design in mind.

According to the PRWEB, as car repossessions hit a 10-year high in 2008, Rocky Mountain Tracking's Smart Track GPS device can help car dealers and leasing agencies trace and recover their vehicles with minimal fuss.

"In these tough economic times, you can never be sure who will be able to make payment on a car loan and who will default, and unfortunately; the leasing agent has the most to lose," says Brad Borst of Rocky Mountain Tracking. "You want to be sure that if somebody defaults, you can repossess the car swiftly and easily. That's where Rocky Mountain Tracking comes in."

As repossession agents admitted an average rise of 15-20 per cent in the number of vehicles repossessed daily, and the number of repossessions jumped 10 per cent in 2007. Further, luxury cars in particular are being repossessed in large numbers in upscale areas like Florida and Southern California, where the housing downturn has hit particularly hard.

Rocky Mountain Tracking offers its Smart Track solution. Smart Track is a discreet GPS anti theft device installed in vehicles, and it pays for itself. The dealer pays only if the vehicle actually needs to be tracked.

"You could go for several years without ever having to pay any fees, and rest assured that your vehicles are protected with vehicle tracking," says Borst. "In the event that a customer defaults on payment or a vehicle is stolen, you can pay a few dollars to recover the vehicle. At your command, the Smart Track car tracking web-based software will provide the vehicle's current location and the vehicle's starter can be disabled."

Seems that 88% of senior finance and IT professionals believe it is important to have the right software systems in place if businesses are to prosper in the current economic climate. That is the findings of document management software company, Version One (www.versionone.co.uk). 60% of these consider the right software systems “vital”.

The research was carried with 160 senior finance and IT professionals across a range of public and private sector organisations.According to the SOURCEWIRE, of the remaining 12% of respondents, 10% believe it is “fairly important” to have the right software systems in place whilst the remaining 2% stated they did not know whether software systems were important to helping a business prosper or not. One of the “don’t know” respondents, a financial controller from a food manufacturing company, said, “The key to our business is customer contact, not how we operate internally”.

Lynne Munns, General Manager of Version One, says, “This research demonstrates that organisations recognise how vital it is to have the right software systems in place to enable them to not only survive during these turbulent times but also to flourish. Software systems such as document management enable organisations to streamline their processes, cut costs and have greater financial transparency which are obviously key in the current climate. Organisations that fail to carefully consider their software needs are often running an inefficient and wasteful operation which can prove particularly damaging during challenging economic times.”

Munns comments, “It’s understandable that businesses are considering document management in part due to the economic downturn as these systems deliver significant cost and time savings whilst improving cash flow, enabling a lean and efficiently-run operation.”Finally 62% of the survey’s 160 respondents feel that if UK businesses are to flourish at this time, they need to streamline their internal processes AND invest in the right software systems. 23% stated that improving internal processes alone would be sufficient while 7% thought that just investing in software systems is the answer. The remaining 8% put forward some alternative suggestions to how organisations can prosper in the current climate. These include “reducing staff overheads”, “investing in training” and “improving customer satisfaction levels”.

Parents should save children not only from different diseases but also from the surrounding threats even though children are sitting at home at PCs using internet, TV, ads and other program. These are the cases when parents are unable to control their children all the time. That is the task of FCC. And there are some efforts made in this direction.

FCCReady that is led by nationally known psychologist, author and media authority, Dr. Helen Boehm, and produces powerful Educational and Informational (EI) appraisals and professional evaluation summaries in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and CARU, COPPA and FTC guidelines works in this field.

Dr. Boehm has a proven track record of EI program clearances and the successful review of much of the educational content for kids seen on TV and computer screens today. According to the PRWEB, she will extend the same practical and professional content advisory services she brought to NewsCorp's Fox and Viacom's MTV Networks/Nickelodeon over the past two decades - directly to your kids' media projects. The advice of Dr. Boehm is as much trustworthy as she has testified before Congress and is the author of the popular child-safety book, Fearless Parenting for the New Millennium and the best selling paperback, The Right Toys: A Guide to Selecting the Best Toys for Children. Before Dr. Boehm headed youth standards and public responsibility at Fox and MTV/Nickelodeon, "Dr. Helen" directed the Children's Advertising Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, the self-regulatory arm of the children's advertising industry.

As given at PRWEB, the incoming administration has pledged greater scrutiny of child-directed entertainment, advertising and interactive media. According to President-Elect Barack Obama, "We're going to have to parent better, and turn off the television set, and put the video games away, and instill a sense of excellence in our children."
